When the status report is no longer enough

A programme can stay busy while confidence in its scope, architecture, dates or expected outcome continues to fall. An independent review creates space to ask what is known, what is still an assumption and which decisions are being avoided.

We start with three questions: What do we know? What is stopping the next decision? Which options still make sense?

What we may review

• The business case, intended outcomes, scope and requirements
• Plans, milestones, forecasts, dependencies and delivery records
• Architecture, integration, data, security and operational readiness
• Risks, issues, assumptions, decisions, testing and assurance
• Supplier commitments, client responsibilities and governance records

We check factual findings with the relevant client and delivery stakeholders. Validation is important, but unsupported reassurance cannot replace missing evidence.

The output is a choice, not a predetermined answer

The available options may include focused corrective action, a change in scope, re-sequencing, a pause and reset, transition to another approach or stopping work that no longer has a credible case.

Depending on the engagement, we can provide an independent assessment, evidence register, dependency view, decision paper and recovery, reset or exit roadmap. The client retains the decision and accountability.

The experience we bring

Our work spans current-state assessment, architecture, roadmaps, governance, cloud, security, integration and implementation in government and regulated environments. That breadth helps us look across the programme rather than treating each problem in isolation.

The retained work does not amount to a completed customer recovery case study, so we do not present it as one. We will not promise that every programme can or should be recovered, and our review is not a statutory audit or legal opinion.
